Nursery Practitioner | 4-Day Work Week | Level 2 & 3

About the Role

Action Staffing Ltd is recruiting for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3) to join a forward-thinking team in East London.

The nursery is currently operating on a unique 4-day work week schedule, allowing you to maintain full-time hours while enjoying an extra day off each week. We are currently interviewing and trialling candidates for an immediate start.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will deliver high standards of care and learning:

• Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework through engaging and creative play-based learning
• Act as a key person for a group of children, tracking their milestones and planning their next steps
• Work effectively within a professional team to maintain high standards of care and safety
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to explore
• Provide professional and friendly feedback to parents regarding their child's daily progress

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• A recognized Level 2 Childcare Qualification or higher (Level 3 preferred)
• Previous experience working in a UK nursery setting is essential
• Excellent communication, a positive "team player" attitude, and genuine passion for early years education
• Availability to work the 08:00 – 18:00 shift pattern

Salary & Working Hours

• Salary: Starting at £13.45 per hour (negotiable based on experience and higher qualifications)
• Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (08:00 AM – 06:00 PM)
• Rest Periods: Includes a 1-hour lunch break and two paid 15-minute breaks per shift
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
