About the Role

Are you an experienced Nursery Manager with a strong background in early years leadership?

Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Ofsted-registered nursery located in Southfields, South West London (SW18). We are seeking a confident and capable Nursery Manager with a minimum of 2 years’ management experience within an early years setting.

Your Responsibilities

As Nursery Manager, you will take full responsibility for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the nursery:

• Ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance with EYFS and Ofsted regulations
• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team through effective supervision, coaching, training and performance management
• Oversee operational duties including staffing, rotas, occupancy, budgets and policies
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and high-quality learning environment for all children
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies, ensuring excellent communication and partnership working

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognized Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare (Level 5 or management qualification is highly desirable)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a nursery management or senior leadership role
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, child development, and Ofsted inspection requirements
• Confident leadership with excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding early years education

An Enhanced DBS check will be required before employment.
