Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Ofsted-registered day nursery in Islington, North London (N7) for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their friendly and supportive team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Room Leader, you will lead a dedicated team of Early Years Practitioners:

• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn, play and develop with confidence
• Plan engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Monitor children's learning and development through observations and assessments
• Maintain accurate developmental records and ensure high-quality care tailored to individual needs
• Support and mentor your team, encouraging best practice
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Ensure your room consistently meets Ofsted, safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, such as CACHE, NVQ or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or in a similar leadership role
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and child development
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
• A positive attitude, genuine passion for early years education, and ability to motivate colleagues

An Enhanced DBS check will be required before employment.
