Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting a passionate and highly organized Nursery Manager / Preschool Manager on behalf of a premier early years provider in Poplar / Canary Wharf, London (E14).

This is a permanent, full-time leadership position offering a stable contract operating all year round, providing the professional autonomy to truly make an impact.

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Manager, you will hold ultimate operational, financial, and pedagogical responsibility for the setting:

• Manage the daily running of the nursery, overseeing staff rotas, occupancy levels, budgets, and business growth
• Supervise, support, and mentor the early years staff team, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying training needs
• Ensure the high-quality delivery of a rich, creative, and inclusive curriculum based on the statutory EYFS framework
• Maintain total compliance with Ofsted regulations, health and safety laws, and local safeguarding procedures
• Build strong, trusting professional relationships with families, managing parent enquiries, hosting show-arounds, and fostering positive communication

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• A recognized Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher (a Degree in Early Years, EYPS, or EYTS is highly advantageous)
• Proven, successful experience working as a Nursery Manager or a highly experienced Deputy Manager ready to take full ownership
• Deep, practical understanding of the statutory EYFS guidelines, Ofsted inspection frameworks, and child protection regulations
• Exceptional communication skills, strong business/administrative acumen, and a calm leadership style

A clean Enhanced DBS check is mandatory before starting.

Salary & Working Hours

• Hours: Full-Time (36 – 40 Hours per Week, All Year Round)
• Employment Type: Permanent
