Nursery Manager (Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting a dedicated Nursery Manager (Part-Time / Flexible Hours) on behalf of a wonderful early years setting in Thamesmead, London.

This position is highly unique, offering exceptional flexibility with part-time daytime hours from Monday to Friday (choice of 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Manager, you will be the driving force behind the setting's success:

• Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality educational environment for children aged 0 to 5
• Supervise, support, and inspire early years practitioners, promoting best practices in line with EYFS framework principles
• Maintain strict adherence to Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and health and safety policies
• Act as the main point of contact for parents and carers, managing parent enquiries and show-arounds
• Handle essential office-based management tasks, including attendance monitoring and coordinating staff schedules

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• A recognized Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher (Level 5 or a Degree in Early Years is highly advantageous)
• Proven leadership experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or an experienced Senior Room Leader ready to step up
• Deep understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, Ofsted inspection requirements, and safeguarding procedures
• Exceptional communication, a calm and professional approach, and excellent organizational abilities

A clean Enhanced DBS check is required.

Salary & Working Hours

• Hourly Rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience and suitability)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, choice of:
  • 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 09:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • (No weekends, no late nights)
• Employment Type: Part-Time, Permanent
