Action Staffing Ltd is representing a premium, high-quality early years setting in East London. We are seeking an exceptional, highly experienced Nursery Principal / Early Years Manager to take the helm.

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Principal, you will be the driving force behind the setting's success:

• Oversee the entire daily operations of the nursery, ensuring it exceeds all Ofsted and EYFS requirements
• Manage the nursery's budget, drive marketing initiatives, and maximize occupancy and profitability
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of Early Years Educators, Room Leaders, and Deputy Managers
• Ensure the delivery of an inspiring, inclusive, and highly effective EYFS curriculum across all rooms
• Act as the face of the nursery, building strong partnerships with parents and the local community
• Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring health, safety, and child protection policies are strictly enforced

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5, Early Years Degree, or EYPS/EYTS highly preferred)
• Minimum of 3–5 years of recent experience as a Nursery Manager or Principal in a large setting
• Proven track record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted gradings during inspections
• Strong commercial acumen in managing budgets, staffing ratios, and driving nursery occupancy
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and right to work in the UK

Salary & Working Hours

• Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience and setting size)
• Bonuses: Generous performance and occupancy-related bonus structures
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
