About the Role

Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Ofsted-registered day nursery in Sydenham, South East London (SE26) for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their friendly and supportive team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading your room and supporting your team:

• Ensure children receive the highest standard of care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where children can develop, explore and thrive
• Plan engaging activities and monitor children's progress through observations and assessments
• Maintain accurate learning records and build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Work closely with the nursery management team to ensure your room consistently meets Ofsted requirements, safeguarding standards, and health and safety regulations

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, such as CACHE, NVQ or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or in a similar leadership role
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and child development
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Passion for providing exceptional early years education and supporting children's wellbeing and development

An Enhanced DBS check will be required before employment.
