Early Years Room Leader & Deputy Room Leaders (Level 3 Qualified)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Early Years Educator ready to take the next step into a rewarding leadership role?

Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for three key senior positions on behalf of a premier early years setting in Hither Green, London (SE13):

• 1 x Room Leader (Level 3 Qualified) - Toddlers (2–3 years old)
• 2 x Deputy Room Leaders (Level 3 Qualified) - Toddlers (2–3) or Pre-School (3–5)

These permanent, full-time roles offer stable 40-hour weekly contracts with shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday (no weekends).

Your Responsibilities

In these leadership roles, you will support room excellence and staff development:

• Guide and support a room team of early years practitioners, promoting best practices and collaborative culture
• Lead the planning and delivery of creative, age-appropriate educational activities based on the EYFS framework
• Manage the room's key person allocations, ensuring accurate developmental records and learning journeys
• Serve as a senior point of contact for parents and carers, providing reassuring daily feedback
• Meticulously maintain a safe, secure, and hygienic environment in total compliance with Ofsted guidelines

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• A recognized Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Early Years / Childcare)
• Previous experience leading a room or acting as a senior practitioner (for Room Leader); strong senior practice experience for Deputy roles
• Advanced, practical understanding of the statutory EYFS framework, safeguarding standards, and positive behavior guidance
• Exceptional communication abilities, natural leadership qualities, and a composed approach

Strictly subject to a clear Enhanced DBS check.

Salary & Working Hours

• Room Leader Salary: £32,500 per annum
• Deputy Room Leader Salary: £31,500 per annum
• Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM; no weekends or bank holidays)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
