About the Role

Action Staffing Ltd is recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner (Term-Time Only) to join a highly regarded setting in Woodford Green, North East London (IG8).

This rare Term-Time only position is ideal for professionals who want the stability of full-time hours during the week while enjoying all school holidays off!

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will support children's daily care and education:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, fostering a creative and safe learning environment
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being
  • Adhere to fixed shift patterns (7am-4pm or 9am-6pm) to maintain consistent staff-to-child ratios
  • Maintain a high level of vigilance, following all child protection and health & safety policies
  • Build professional relationships with families, providing daily updates on children’s progress

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare preferred (dedicated individuals with relevant nursery experience also welcomed)
  • Commitment to the Term-Time only schedule and punctuality for designated shift patterns
  • Ability to commute easily to Woodford Green (IG8)
  • Nurturing nature, excellent teamwork, and passion for early years education

Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary: Competitive rate of £12.71 per hour (UK Minimum Wage compliant)
  • Schedule: Term-Time Only (Enjoy all school holidays off—no working through half-terms or summer breaks!)
  • Shift Options: 07:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 18:00
  • Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent / Term-Time Only
