About the Role

Are you a nurturing and creative Early Years Professional with a passion for infant care?

Action Staffing Ltd is looking for a dedicated Baby Room Leader (Level 3 Childcare) to join a vibrant and friendly nursery team in Leyton, East London (E11).

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced practitioner to step into a leadership role, managing a dedicated baby suite and shaping the early developmental journey of children under two.

Your Responsibilities

As the Baby Room Leader, you will oversee infant care and room staff:

  • Create and maintain a safe, "home-from-home" environment prioritizing the physical and emotional well-being of infants
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate sensory and play-based activities tailored to the EYFS framework
  • Lead, support, and mentor junior staff and apprentices within the baby room, promoting best practices
  • Oversee accurate record-keeping, ensuring child observations and developmental paperwork meet Ofsted standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for parents, providing detailed daily feedback on routines and milestones

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • A recognized Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or higher (Early Years Educator, NVQ, or CACHE)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically with children under 2 years old is essential
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding protocols, and excellent organizational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check and two professional references required

Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary: Starting from £13.56 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
