About the Role

Are you an ambitious and experienced leader looking to head a high-quality setting in Orpington?

Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for a Nursery Manager to join a well-established and friendly day nursery and preschool team in Green Street Green, Orpington, Kent (BR6).

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about delivering excellence in Early Years education and has a proven track record of managing successful teams while maintaining high Ofsted standards.

Your Responsibilities

As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee all operational and pedagogical functions:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-achieving environment
  • Recruit, train, and inspire a team of Early Years Practitioners, managing rotas and professional development
  • Lead the implementation of a creative and robust Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Serve as Lead Safeguarding Officer and ensure all health & safety and regulatory standards are met
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and the local Orpington community

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 or a Degree in Early Years is highly desirable)
  • Significant experience in a Nursery Management or Deputy Manager role within a UK setting
  • Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, and deep understanding of Ofsted frameworks
  • Ability to commute easily to Green Street Green / Orpington
