About the Role

Are you a Senior Room Leader or Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge in Essex?

Action Staffing Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager for a thriving preschool in Brentwood (CM14).

This role offers a fantastic balance between leadership and hands-on Early Years practice, with the exceptional benefit of a Term-Time Only contract!

Your Responsibilities

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support daily leadership and educational standards:

  • Assist the Manager in the daily running of the nursery and confidently step up in their absence
  • Ensure that the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is delivered to a high standard across all age groups
  • Support and develop Level 2 and Level 3 Practitioners, promoting a culture of continuous learning
  • Promote outdoor learning and child-led development across the setting
  • Maintain strong parent partnerships and ensure adherence to safeguarding standards

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare/Early Years (or higher)
  • Experience as a Senior Practitioner or Room Lead in a UK nursery
  • Passion for outdoor learning and child-led development
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities

Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
  • Schedule: Term-Time Only (Full-Time hours during school terms)
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Term-Time
  • Excellent work-life balance with all school holidays off
