About the Role

Are you an ambitious Early Years Lead or Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step into management?

Action Staffing Ltd is looking for a dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager to join a vibrant team in Kirkstall, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

This is a permanent, all-year-round position situated in a convenient location near Station Buildings (LS5). We are looking for a leader who is passionate about EYFS standards and capable of supporting the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional childcare.

Your Responsibilities

As the Deputy Manager, you will play an integral role in nursery operations:

  • Assist in the daily management of the nursery, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality Early Years provision
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Qualified Practitioners and apprentices
  • Ensure the EYFS framework is implemented creatively and effectively across all rooms
  • Maintain rigorous health and safety standards and act as a designated safeguarding lead when required
  • Support positive communication with parents and carers

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare (Level 4 or 5 is highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in a Senior Nursery role or as a Room Leader looking for progression
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and deep understanding of Ofsted inspection requirements
  • Available for 30–40 hours per week permanently
