Action Staffing Ltd is proud to represent a high-achieving nursery in New Malden, South West London (KT3) looking for a passionate Deputy Room Leader to join their growing team.

This position offers a unique, flexible rotating shift pattern designed to keep you refreshed: Week One: Work just 4 days; Week Two: Work 4.5 days. You get a full day off every other week and a half-day on the alternate week, while still maintaining a full-time salary!

Your Responsibilities

As Deputy Room Leader, you will support daily leadership and room operations:

• Support the Room Leader in the daily management of the Early Years setting
• Use your expertise in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to lead creative learning and learning through play
• Act as a role model for Level 2 and Level 3 Practitioners, mentoring staff and ensuring high standards of care
• Maintain a secure, stimulating environment following all safeguarding and health and safety protocols
• Build positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner or Deputy Lead within a UK nursery setting
• Deep knowledge of statutory EYFS frameworks and a positive, energetic approach to teamwork
• Ability to commute easily to New Malden (KT3)

Salary & Working Hours

• Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
• Schedule: Rotating pattern (Week 1: 4 days / Week 2: 4.5 days)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Maintain a full-time salary with scheduled days off to rest and recharge
