About the Role

Action Staffing Ltd is recruiting a talented Room Leader / Senior Nursery Practitioner (or Third in Charge) for a premier nursery in Beckton, London (E6).

This Childcare Job is perfect for a Qualified Nursery Nurse with a Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher looking for a permanent leadership role in East London.

This position offers excellent opportunities to progress into Deputy Manager or Nursery Management roles within a professional Nursery School.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will take charge of a room and lead a team of educators:

• Take charge of a room and lead a team of Nursery Practitioners and assistants
• Ensure the highest safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare standards are met
• Lead the implementation of the EYFS Framework and creative play-based learning
• Foster children's cognitive, social, and physical development through detailed observation
• Maintain excellent relationships and daily communication with parents and carers

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• A recognized Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher
• Passion for child development, preschool education, and leadership
• Previous experience in a UK nursery setting, ideally in a senior practitioner or room lead capacity
• Strong communication, team management, and problem-solving skills

An Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
